Returns for technical materials require careful review.
Gallium Global GmbH supplies high-purity metals, rare earth materials, metal oxides, compounds, semiconductor materials and other technical products. Material integrity, traceability, contamination control, packaging and specification are important. For this reason, returned material cannot always be accepted back into commercial inventory.
Scope of this Policy
This Refund & Returns Policy applies to products purchased directly from Gallium Global GmbH unless different terms were expressly agreed in a quotation, purchase order acknowledgement, supply agreement or other written contract.
Where an individually agreed contract conflicts with this general policy, the individually agreed terms will take precedence to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Business Customers
Gallium Global primarily serves industrial, commercial, institutional and research customers. Business customers do not receive a general voluntary right to return correctly supplied materials merely because they are no longer required, unless Gallium Global has expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
Any proposed B2B return requires prior review and written authorization from Gallium Global.
Unauthorized returns may be refused. Contact Gallium Global first and provide the order reference, product, batch or lot information, quantity and reason for the requested return.
Consumers & Statutory Rights
Where Gallium Global enters into a distance contract with a consumer and a statutory right of withdrawal applies under German or applicable European consumer law, the consumer retains the mandatory rights provided by law.
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or restrict mandatory consumer rights, statutory warranty rights or other rights that cannot legally be waived.
Some statutory withdrawal rights apply specifically to consumers. Commercial purchasers should not assume that consumer withdrawal provisions apply to a business purchase.
Materials That May Not Be Returnable
Subject to mandatory statutory rights, Gallium Global may be unable to accept returns of materials whose quality, traceability, packaging integrity or resale suitability can no longer be verified.
This may include:
- Custom-manufactured, custom-cut or customer-specific products.
- Materials procured specifically against an individual customer order.
- Opened, used, processed, melted, mixed or otherwise altered materials.
- Products removed from sealed, controlled or original packaging.
- Materials for which batch identity or traceability has been compromised.
- Products contaminated or potentially exposed to contamination.
- Products damaged through incorrect storage, handling or transportation after delivery.
- Special-order materials identified as non-cancellable or non-returnable before purchase.
Whether a material can be returned will be assessed according to the particular product, condition, packaging, specification and circumstances.
Damaged, Incorrect or Non-Conforming Material
If a shipment arrives visibly damaged, appears to contain the wrong product or quantity, or you believe the material does not conform to the agreed specification, contact Gallium Global promptly.
Please retain:
- The original product and shipping packaging.
- Product labels, batch numbers and lot information.
- The Certificate of Analysis or other supplied documentation.
- Photographs of any visible damage or packaging issue.
- Delivery documentation and carrier information where relevant.
Gallium Global may request photographs, analytical information, samples or other reasonable evidence needed to investigate a reported non-conformity.
How to Request a Return
Send your order or invoice reference, product, quantity and reason for the request.
We review the product, batch, condition, specification and circumstances.
If approved, we provide return instructions and applicable shipping requirements.
Returned materials must be packaged in accordance with the instructions supplied by Gallium Global and all applicable transportation, safety and regulatory requirements.
Refunds, Credits & Replacements
Where a return is accepted, Gallium Global will determine the appropriate resolution according to the circumstances and applicable contractual or statutory requirements.
A resolution may include:
- Replacement of the affected product.
- Credit against a current or future invoice.
- Refund of an eligible amount.
- Another commercially agreed remedy.
Any approved refund will normally be made using an appropriate payment method after the return and relevant documentation have been reviewed, unless another arrangement has been agreed.
Original freight, expedited shipping, customs duties, taxes, banking charges or other transaction costs may not be refundable where they were properly incurred, except where required by law or expressly agreed otherwise.
Order Cancellations
Contact Gallium Global as soon as possible if you need to cancel or amend an order.
Cancellation may not be possible once material has been specially procured, manufactured, processed, allocated, packed, dispatched or otherwise committed specifically to the order.
Costs already reasonably incurred in connection with a B2B special order may remain payable where permitted by the applicable contract and law.
Return Shipping & Packaging
No material should be returned until Gallium Global has provided appropriate return instructions.
Depending on the material, specialized packaging, labeling, documentation or transportation requirements may apply.
Responsibility for return freight and related costs depends on the reason for the return, applicable contractual terms and any mandatory statutory rights.
Customers must not ship materials in a manner that violates applicable transport, dangerous-goods, customs, export-control, environmental or safety requirements.
